1. “Virus May Cry” do what

If you has installed “Virus May Cry”, then when any executable file is to be executed, you will be notified, and you decide whether the executable file can be executed. So when a virus file want to be executed, you will be notified, you can forbid it, so your computer won’t be affected.

NOTICE: “any executable file” including ALL executable file.

If you has installed “Virus May Cry”, then when any executable file is to be executed, “Virus May Cry” will pop up a dialog box, tell you which file is wanting to be executed, and give you four selection, “Load and Add to White List”, “Don’t Load and Add to Black List”, “Load”, “Don’t Load”.

If select “Load and Add to White List”, then this executable file will be executed, and from now on this executable file can be executed and no user notify dialog box popup any more.

If select “Don’t Load and Add to Black List”, then this executable file will NOT be executed, and from now on this executable file can’t be executed and no user notify dialog box popup any more.

If select “Load”, then this executable file will be executed, and if this executable file is executed next time, user notify dialog box will also pop up.

If select “Don’t Load”, then this executable file will not be executed, and if this executable file is executed next time, user notify dialog box will also pop up.

After “Virus May Cry” installed, windows system files under system directory have been added to whitelist. But you run any program, “Virus May Cry” will pop up user notify dialog box, if you think the executable file is trusted, then you can add it to whitelist, and from then when you run this program, there is no user notify popup dialog box any more.

SUGGESTION: If you don’t know whether a executable file is a trusted file or a virus, search the file name on google.

2. “Virus May Cry” controller

There is a “controller.exe” in the “Virus May Cry” install directory.
Using it, you can get the current state of “Virus May Cry” and controll “Virus May Cry”.

You can start or stop “Virus May Cry”.
You can start or stop “Virus May Cry” User Notify.
You can start or stop “Virus May Cry” Log.
You can start or stop “Virus May Cry” Exe Only.

You can set “Virus May Cry” autostart or not.
You can set “Virus May Cry” User Notify autostart or not.
You can set “Virus May Cry” Log autostart or not.
You can set “Virus May Cry” Exe Only autostart or not.

You can edit blacklist.
You can edit whitelist.

3. Several Modes of using “Virus May Cry”

3.1 “Virus May Cry” Autostart + User Notify

Set “Virus May Cry” autostart, Set “User Notify” autostart, Set “Log” NOT autostart.

When any executable file which not in whitelist or blacklist is to be executed, “Virus May Cry” will pop up a user notify dialog box, and you make a dicision to run it or not.

3.2 “Virus May Cry” start when needed + User Notify

Set “Virus May Cry” autostart, Set “User Notify” NOT autostart, Set “Log” Not autostart.

When needed, Start User Notify by using controller. When not needed, Stop User Notify by using controller.

e.g. Use “Virus May Cry” as a internet surfing protector, before run the WELL KNOWN “Internet Explorer”, start “Virus May Cry” User Notify first. If you met a harmful website, and a maleware want to be executed, you will be notified, and the maleware has no chance to be executed. After you close the WELL KNOWN “Internet Explorer”, you can stop “Virus May Cry” User Notify.

3.3 Log + Blacklist

Set “Virus May Cry” autostart, Set “Log” autostart, Set “User Notify” Not autostart.

All files that had been executed will be recorded in log. You can add the file, which you don’t want it to be executed, to the blacklist.

3. “Virus May Cry” 的几种使用方式

3.1 开机运行+用户通知

设置 “Virus May Cry” 和 “Virus May Cry” 用户通知为开机自动启动，不使用日志。这样任何时候，任何不在白名单和黑名单中的程序文件要执行的话，都会弹出询问对话框，由你来决定是否执行。

3.2 需要的时候运行+用户通知

设置 “Virus May Cry” 为开机自动启动，而 “Virus May Cry” 用户通知设置为不开机自动启动，不使用日志。
当有需要的时候，使用 “Virus May Cry” 的控制器，启动用户通知。不需要的时候，使用 “Virus May Cry” 的控制器，关闭用户通知。

比如，用 “Virus May Cry” 来作为上网保护，在使用 IE 上网前，启动 “Virus May Cry” 的用户通知，这样当你遇到恶意网站，试图执行恶意代码的时候，你将得到通知，并且可以不给恶意代码执行的机会。而不使用 IE 上网的时候，就可以关闭 “Virus May Cry” 的用户通知。

3.3 日志+黑名单

设置 “Virus May Cry” 为开机自动启动，设置 “Virus May Cry” 日志为开机启动，而 “Virus May Cry” 用户通知设置为不开机自动启动。

这样，所有被执行的文件都会被记录在日志中。你可以将不希望执行的程序，加入到黑名单中。
